Multiplication is in essence repeated addition, or the sum of a list of identical numbers. Multiplication finds the product of two numbers, the multiplier and the multiplicand, sometimes both simply called factors.

Multiplication, as it is really repeated addition, is commutative and associative; further it is distributive over addition and subtraction. The multiplicative identity is 1, that is, multiplying any number by 1 will yield that same number. Also, the multiplicative inverse is the reciprocal of any number, that is, multiplying the reciprocal of any number by the number itself will yield the multiplicative identity.

Many 4th grade math students find multiplication difficult. They feel overwhelmed with multiplication homework, tests and projects. # How Others Use Our Site

I am a 4th grade teacher and I am trying to find various ways to teach my students how to measure angles.
I am going to use this this summer to prepare me to tutor my son, whose class last year was woefully behind the state objectives. I am using a 4th grade textbook, but dn`t have an instructor`s manual, nor a whole lot of knowledge of the concepts. This has already helped me a great deal!
Yes, I am going to try to help my rising 4th grader with extra math work this summer.
Its explained very nicely and the lessons are not taught too quickly! I hope that this site can be of a great help to me and I am hoping that it helps me excel, catch up with all of the other smart ass students and achieve better grades on my tests, that I barely just pass by :) I need help with cross multiplication and also word/ratio problems...
I think it will help my 4th grader tremendously.
The site was recommended to me for my granddaughter who`s in 4th grade. She is failing math, above grade level in all other subjects. Hope this site can help her.
